AP will not cover second India test
Friday 23 November 2012

The Associated Press will continue its suspension of coverage of the England tour of India when the second test begins on Friday in Mumbai.

The dispute has arisen because of restrictions introduced by the Board of Control For Cricket In India, the sport's governing body in India.

The BCCI has barred photo-only agencies from covering games and has made a small number of its own photographs available to media.

Other international news organizations have also suspended coverage.

AP is working with the News Media Coalition, a consortium of international media, to try to resolve the issue.
The International Olympic Committee has called on cricket authorities to intervene to end the dispute so that coverage can resume.
