BCCI officials linked with Srinivasan sacked

According to a report published in the Sunday Express, the newly elected members of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are terminating contracts of players with links to India Cements, a company owned by N Srinivasan.

As per the report, Team India’s long-time logistics manager M A Satheesh, who was appointed by the previous administration, has been sacked. Interestingly, Satheesh used to draw Rs 72 lakh annually, whereas, national selector Sandeep Patil gets Rs 60 lakh from the board.

Earlier, the contract of chief financial officer Prasanna Kannan, who in the past has worked for India Cements, was also terminated.

Satheesh and Kannan were originally contracted till 2017 with the BCCI.

Biswarup Dey has been named as administrative manager and Rishikesh Upadhayaya logistic manager for the India tour of Bangladesh.

Also, Team media manager and a Srinivasan loyalist from the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Dr R N Baba, has been left out of the team touring Bangladesh.
