Rajasthan Cricket Association Secretary Sanjay Dixit has landed himself in another controversy after the BCCI slapped a showcause notice on the cricket administrator for his tweets on Mumbai Indians skipper Sachin Tendulkar.
The comments have not gone down well with BCCI chief Shashank Manohar, who has termed this as 'unprecedented' act by an administrator. The RCA secretary has been given 15 days to revert back to the showcause notice sent to him. Tendulkar was unhappy with the pitch at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium after the Mumbai Indians were bowled out for a paltry 94. Dixit apparently took offence to Tendulkar’s comments and went on a Twitter tirade against the Little Master. The cricket administrator tweeted: ‘Sachin gets out off a full toss. Can’t blame the pitch this time’ after Tendulkar had been dismissed for 51 against Punjab in the next league match.
Dixit has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this IPL. He was also involved in a spat with Warne regarding the pitch at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, earlier in the tournament, which led to a hearing and Warne being subsequently fined.
