Friday 16 May 2014

Supreme Court on Friday asked Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee to conduct probe against N Srinivasan, top cricketers in IPL betting and spot-fixing scandal.

The Apex Court asked the committee to submit its report in a sealed envelop by the end of August.

Supreme Court also says a group of investigators headed by senior IPS officer B B Mishra will assist the Mudgal Committee in the probe. The probe panel will have all the powers to probe, search and seize relevant documents and record evidence.

The committee will have all the powers except the power to arrest.

The Supreme Court also said that Sunil Gavaskar and Shivlal Yadav will continue to do their job as interim BCCI presidents until further orders.
