Srinivasan accused of duping BCCI

The complaint filed by Mr. Mehmood Abdi, Mr. Lalit Modi’s counsel at Marine Drive police station regarding misappropriation of funds by BCCI President N. Srinivasan and others has now been transferred to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police.

In his complaint, Abdi alleges that BCCI President and Chennai Super Kings owner, N. Srinivasan, and several others were involved in misappropriating funds to the tune of Rs. 2,282 crore. Abdi is also the president of Ganganagar District Cricket Association, which is a member of Rajasthan Cricket.

The complainant stated that Srinivasan and others entered into a conspiracy with Sony and its key executives in May 2010 by misrepresenting facts before the members of the governing council, which resulted in huge losses for the BCCI. Mumbai Police Commissioner, Rakesh Maria, confirmed the transfer of complaint.
