Tremlett ruled out of 3rd Test
Tuesday 09 August 2011

Injuries are not just affecting the Indian team but even the English seem to be feeling the effects. Fast bowler Chris Tremlett is the latest player to be ruled out of the third Test at Edgbaston due to a back problem.

The Surrey man missed the second game of the series at Trent Bridge after suffering tightness in his hamstring and then back spasms.

The 29-year-old has been unable to train all week and will now sit it out although the ECB said in a statement he could still feature in the fourth Test

The ECB confirmed Tremlett will not be available and added he 'will receive ongoing treatment ahead of the fourth Test'.

England, who have also lost Jonathan Trott to a shoulder injury, had already included Steven Finn in their squad as pace-bowling cover for Tremlett as they look to clinch a series victory.
