Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) joint secretary Anurag Thakur on Sunday visited the District Sports Association (DSA) here and expressed satisfaction with the facilities at the stadium.
According to DSA officials, Thakur inspected the stadium's cricket academy and gave some "useful tips to the upcoming players".
"He was impressed with the ground and facilities, even though its been raining here for a long time now," and official said.
Thakur, who is also the President of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association and a BJP MP, was in the quaint town on an official visit.
Yet to witness an international match, the stadium has hosted matches of various domestic tournaments likeDuleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy.
