Horn offers to help the Indian team
Wednesday 17 August 2011

Guest motivational speaker of the Indian team during the World Cup, Mike Horn has offered his services once again after India’s disastrous performance in the Test series against England.

"Yes, I have been following the performance of the Indian team and very disappointed with the loss and number one Test ranking," Horn told Mid-Day.

Horn is eager to help the Indian team who are morally down. "The request has to come from the team management and I will be in England with next available flight," he said.

Horn shot into limelight for some crazy feats which included the 6,700-km descent of the Amazon by hydrospeed - solo and unassisted.

He gave motivational lectures to the Indian team before the last World Cup. "That was at the requests of Paddy Upton and Gary Kirsten. They are now with the South African team but my first choice is India rather than South Africa, because I got engaged with the Indian team first," Horn added.

Horn is still in touch with a few members of the Indian team. "It was a great time when we won the World Cup. Thereafter, we exchanged messages and shared ideas occasionally."

When asked what would be his immediate message to the team? "Get your basics right and concentrate more on the game," Horn felt.
