Munaf suffers suspected ankle injury

India’s injury crisis followed them in Wales aswell with pacer Munaf Patel suffering a suspected ankle injury as he fell on the ground while chasing the ball during the fifth and final one-dayer against England on Friday.

Munaf was running from the long off chasing the ball after England captain Alastair Cook had sliced a Ravindra Jadeja delivery in the air.

He slipped as the grass was wet due to intermittent rain and fell across the painted outfield which has sponsor's logo with his right ankle hitting the surface.

India has been hit hard by a spate of injuries in this disastrous tour of England with several players, including top guns Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh among them.
