The Cricket Association of Bihar Secretary Aditya Verma has revealed that he intends to file a contempt petition before the Supreme Court against the BCCI, N Srinivasan and other important functionaries of the Board for allegedly violating an earlier order of the apex court.
"Being a petitioner of this case, now I will move a contempt against BCCI, Srini and especially against IPL Chairman (Ranjib Biswal) for his interview in (New) Indian Express on 3.05.2014," Verma, a petitioner in the IPL spot-fixing case, said in a release.
In that interview, Biswal had apparently said "overall, he (Srinivasan) is the President of BCCI".
"... and Mr Amitabh Choudhary, how can he received Srini at Ranchi airport on 13.05.2014 and arrange business suit no. 719 in Raddison Blue hotel at Ranchi. Both gentlemen IPL Chairman and President JSCA and member GC of IPL violating the appex court order dated 28.03.2014," Verma said.
Amitabh Choudhary is the Jharkhand State Cricket Association chief and a member of IPL Governing Council.
Verma also claimed that Srinivasan today moved a petition before the Supreme Court to allow him function as BCCI President.
"Mr Srini prayer to court to modify the order dated 28.03.2014 and 16.05.2014 and allow to function as a President of BCCI till the investigation on.
"As per my counsel, they are going to mention the I A (Interim Application) of Srini tomorrow, we are also prepared to object their mentioning."
