Ajit Wadekar gets Castrol Cricket Lifetime Achievement Award
Thursday 30 August 2012

Former Indian skipper Ajit Wadekar got awarded with the 'Castrol Cricket Lifetime Achievement Award' for his contribution to the sport during an event in Bangalore.

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar handed over the award trophy to the cricket veteran under whose leadership India won the historical 1971 Test match against West Indies.

A visibly ecstatic Wadekar fondly remembered his days in the national squad and lauded India's Under 19 team for clinching the world cup a couple of days ago.

The junior team skipper, Unmukt Chand was also felicitated at the event by former Under 19 cricket captain Virat Kohli.
