Nathan Lyon showcased his skill and talent in his debut series against Sri Lanka. And the spinner now keen to continue that form into the Champions League T20 for the Redbacks.
Lyon made a sensational Test debut as he claimed wicket off his first ball, removing Lankan batsman Kumar Sangakkara.
Lyon said taking first wicket off first ball was an amazing experience.
"The Redbacks is a strong side and we expect do well in the CLT 20," he said.
The South Australia Redbacks, which will be making their second consecutive appearance on the CLT20, will be kicking off their first Group B match against the South African limited overs squad, the Warriors. The fixture is scheduled to kick off on September 25, 2011, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.
Replying to a query, he said he wanted to keep playing for Australia and bowl to best batsmen.
The right-armed off-break bowler stands confident to put up a strong show on the upcoming match, after having won a strong ground on his national side’s Test squad.
