CSK are ready for CLT20: Fleming
Monday 19 September 2011

Chennai Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming is confident of retaining their Champions League Twenty20 crown.

Fleming opined that despite winning two IPL and the 2010 Champions League titles back to back, the Super Kings were not complacent and asserted that it is not an issue for him to keep the motivation levels high of India players who are just back from a disastrous tour of England.

"I don't think that would be a problem. After the World Cup win, the attitude of everyone in the squad, from the captain (M.S. Dhoni) down was superb. But maybe with such players (those returning from the England tour) we won't make them practice too long or make too much demands of them," said Fleming.

On the complacency factor, he said: "I think we need a bit more success before that (complacency) happens. I don't think it is much of an issue. We get together, everyone is on edge, everyone wants to prove himself. Our focus is on the next championship. The aim is to have a good attitude, good environment.

"May be if we win a couple more titles, we will get complacent. But that will be a nice problem to have!

The Super Kings open their campaign with a game against Mumbai Indians on Saturday.
